Please read our exhaustingly long listing well before booking lol, we try very very hard to make sure we can fit in every little thing we can think of for all of us to be on the same page. We have a lot of really cool and neat things to offer but it may not be up to par for everyone, especially if you don't know exactly what to expect with this style of cabin \ lake life.
Escape to a unique, cozy retreat where the Texas hills meet the water. Whether you’re looking to disappear from the daily grind or dive into lakeside adventure, this studio-style cabin offers "cabin-chic" comfort with stunning views and zero light pollution for world-class stargazing.

OUTDOOR LIVING & LAKE ACCESS
Step outside to a shaded patio equipped with water misting (summer only) and a direct 3-minute walk (or 1-minute drive) to the water's edge.
The Fire Features: Large docktop propane fire table and a traditional fire pit circle.
The Water Hub: Access to our floating island dock and a large, simple older pontoon boat for lounging near the shore. consider water shoes as you'll likely at least get your legs wet depending on water levels.
Gear Included: 2 double kayaks (with life vests), fishing rods (bring your bait), and 2 hammocks for the ultimate nap.
Note: Lake Travis is a reservoir; water levels fluctuate. Currently, levels are HIGH, offering a natural water entrance. Because our slope is so gentle, We can gain/lose 10-15 feet of horizontal lake movement "shoreline" in A WEEK- This is why it's an "island-dock" . Water shoes are recommended!
THE CABIN & KITCHENETTE
A functional, studio-layout space designed for relaxation and light meals.
Cooking: Big propane grill (clean if you use), smaller charcoal grill, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crockpot, Blender and a double electric burner.
Just added Sep 1 2026 - Digital Airfryer (please clean if you use)
Essentials: New larger fridge, cookware, utensils, iron and an air purifier.
Extras: Telescope for birding/stars, board games, cards, and dice.
Sustainable Stay: We provide 5 gallons of Spring Water—help us reduce single-use plastics! we recycle too.
AMENITIES & BATHROOMS
Full indoor bathroom.
Private outdoor bathroom + a semi-private Nature Tree’d Shower (perfect for a spa-style rinse or washing off the lake).
EXCLUSIVE UPGRADE: NATURAL AQUIFER HOT TUB 🛁
Experience a 100% Tap-water Free soak. For a one-time $25 fee (we cover the rest of the tech's normal $90 cost (takes him 1.5 hours)), we will drain, clean, and refill the 3\4 -person hot tub with fresh water from a 500ft deep limestone aquifer.
Note: Natural unfiltered mineral-rich water is great for skin/hair but will appear cloudy due to dissolved limestone which you'll likely see on bottom too. Must request at time of booking.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
Arrival: Entrance depends on recent rain. High-clearance vehicles/SUVs can use the lower entrance; otherwise, expect a short 10-second walk to the door. Please let us know what you're driving!
Nature: Our docks are functional, not "luxury". Our previous one and many of our neighbor's lake items were all lost in the 2025 4th of July floods on Sandy Creek. Herons, ducks, and geese call this home too, so expect a bit of authentic lakeside nature. Usually will need to get your feet wet or take a kayak a few feet to dock walkway as lake levels constantly change- dock company only comes every other week.
Boats: Want a yacht/boat rental or a houseboat hang? We have local connections ($100-$250/hr). Just ask! (seasonal and many of them use the apps now)
Please note that there is another home on the property with folks there occasionally, but rest assured, the cabins are separate with no adjoining walls, so you’ll enjoy privacy versus a hotel style. While the properties are nearby, we kindly ask that all guests be mindful of noise and activities to ensure a peaceful environment for both. Usually not a voice can be heard, maybe far off footsteps as the cabin and main house are built of wood.
Parking is available for one car close to the cabin, a 10 second walk.. with additional space up the driveway. Drive down the ramp and enjoy the nature.
For the most part, the main house occupies the left side of the property, while the cabin enjoys the right side, ensuring a bit of space and privacy for all. Only a deck walkway connects the two and it's private for your entrance.
Please also note, lake Travis is technically a reservoir lake- they manipulate the water level at their leisure for energy and crops. Water levels, just like the nature and weather are things which we cannot control. Its gone up AND down many feet in just a week.
We have descriptions on every photo too- we really want the right folks who want this type of experience, not a sterile hotel-like cookie cutter accommodation. Texas outdoors, Austin hillcountry, natural lakefront vibes.
We really strive for better reservations, not more of them. It's a lovely time when we have great guests and the guests know exactly what they're getting. It's why our listing are kind of ridiculously long 😊
but after you read it once, it's all chill and good lake times from there on out!
Just reach out should you need anything.
during the peak months, there may be other guests on the over 5 acres. more than enough room to spread out though on acreage and lakefront.
Not luxury or anything super high end, but just about everything you need for a cabin-style retreat. Big Houses Two-Lots-Over on both sides rent for $1500-$2500 a night if luxury or more space is your thing- I can inquire for you for good pricing.
Lots of Flora and Fauna interaction on our side though!!
With a few days and season dependent you should definitely see some of the native Texas hill country beautiful wildlife below. especially in the mornings if you're nice and quiet 😍
Birds:
Great Blue Herons, Cardinals, hummingbirds, egrets, Red tail hawk, Mallards, Canadian and Egyptian geese, peregrine falcons, Greater Roadrunners (lots), Belted Kingfishers, Eastern Phoebes, Canyon Wrens, and Lesser Goldfinches
Painted Buntings, Blue Grosbeaks, Summer Tanagers, American Robins, Cedar Waxwings
Large hawks, owls, and turkey vultures and Bald Eagles can sometimes be spotted around.
Deer, Opossums, Miniature foxes, Armadillos, Rock Squirrels (black and grey with a chirp call which sounds like a bird)
You can find lizards like the Green Anole, Texas rainbow Lizard, and several types of skinks and geckos. The Texas Horned Lizard is also present.
Leopard frogs and texas toads too.
Fish
Bass: Lake Travis is a popular fishing destination known for its populations of Largemouth Bass, Guadalupe Bass, White Bass, and a smaller population of Striped Bass.
Catfish: Anglers can also find Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, and Flathead Catfish.
Sunfish: Various sunfish species, including Bluegill, Redbreast Sunfish, and Longear Sunfish, are abundant.
Other fish: Smallmouth Bass, Carp, Rainbow Trout, and various types of harmless Gar can also be found in Lake Travis.
Prey fish: The forage base for sport fish includes Threadfin Shad, Gizzard Shad, Bluegill, and Redbreast Sunfish.
When it rains a lot, it can be muddier- but usually it really brings out all the flowers and nature!
Again, there's a chance of just one other guest rental. we do not allow more than just that to keep everything nice and low key. We also currently (sep 1) have TWO docks! The bigger one has some items to service the boats and docks, the smaller grassed one- its all yours!
hopefully nice sunny days ahead for you! When it's very close to your trip, if the weather looks poor, you may want to consider checking out some Austin sites as much of what all of us offer out here on lakefront lake Travis, is heavily influenced by the weather. luckily texas has a lot of good sunny days in store all year round !
Just to mention it again a few things we can not control is the weather, the lake height and therefore exactly where the island dock will be in relation to land. You may or may not have to swim or use a Kayak to access dock. not hard at all, just a note. most time you can just your feet wet and walk to it, not always.
Also please turn off (or well down) the AC when leaving for extended amounts of time.
Have a Great Relaxing Trip!
